  • The shedule for awarding diplomas 2019

    On the 25 th  January (friday) 11am in aud, I-201 diplomas will be awarded to graduates of the Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Public Governance Faculty at MRU.
    The mantles are issued from 9.45-10.45 am in aud. III-140 ,at no charge,and must be returned by 12.45pm at the same place.

  • Selected best MRU athlete 2018

     On December 14, 2018, the  Honor and award evening of the Best Lithuanian Student Athletes took place at the Gothic Hall of Vilnius Academy of Arts. The event was awarded to the best Lithuanian students athletes who, through their achievements, celebrated their Alma Mater and the country in international sports arenas.

    MRU's best athlete Simas Bertašius - 6th year graduate student in International Politics and Economics, Master of Public Administration Faculty, who has improved record held for 30 years in 1500m.

  • PAF leaders visited Kharkov S.Kuznets University of Economics(Ukraine)

    5-8 December 2018 Dean of Public Administration Faculty prof. dr. Vainius Smalskys Vice Dean prof. dr. Jolanta Urbanovič visited the Kharkov S. Kuznets University of Economics (Ukraine). During his visit to the Vice-Rector for International Relations of S. Kuznets University prof. dr. Prof. Jermačenko and Head of the Department of Regional Economy and Public Administration prof. dr. Mr Gavkalova discussed the feasibility of implementing two Master's Degree courses in Public Administration. The heads of the Faculty of Public Administration also participated in the international scientific - practical conference "Public Administration: Chalenges and Perspectives" and presented a report on changes in the Lithuanian civil service since 1990. until these days.

  • Baltic-Black sea economic forum "Sport ans Economy"

    On the 26th of October 2018 was one of the most important and memorable events Baltic -Black Sea Economic Forum "Sport and Economy".For the first time in the history of our country ,Lithuanian town Klaipeda was anouced as a European sports city.During the event the sports,goverment,business and academic community were able to focus on a wider discussion on range of relevant sports and economic issues.
    Professor of Management institute dr Vilma Cingiene participated as orgnizer of the event and moderators.Forum participants adopted a resolution.

  • Pupils of Vilnius J.Basanavicius gymnasium had their English lesson in Faculty of Public Governance MRU

    On the 7th of November 2018 the year 12 pupils from Vilnius J.Basanavicius gymnasium had their English language lesson in Faculty of Public Governance MRU.Members of the Faculty student club -home and international students,shared their student life experiences,gave guests the opportunity to sit in the students chair and feel them selves student.The culmination of the day was "Quiz bowl for one hundred years of Lithuania" followed  by  the wining team prices and the small gift for all participants .

  • Participation of PAF representatives in the sectoral profecional committee of public administracion,defence,justice and judiacal activity,public order and protection,fire service activities

    On the 12th of October 2018 The first  professional committee of the Public Administration, Defense, Justice and Judicial Activity, Public Order and Protection, and Fire Protection Services was organized by the Center for the Development of Qualifications and Vocational Training. This  committee is an advisory body formed on the basis of cooperation dealing with the formation of qualifications system and vocational training in a particular sector of the economy. Persons from different institutions delegated to the Committee (mention is made of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Education and Science, Economy and other ministries of the Republic of Lithuania, representatives of various trade unions, associations (Lithuanian Confederation of Business, Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, etc.).The academic community was represented by  Dr. Andrius Stasiukynas, Director of the Public Administration Institute,  who was delegated by the University Rectors' Conference.

    At the first meeting, the chairman of the committee was elected - Dr. Andrius Stasiukynas, also  deputy - Inga Prialgauskienė, plans of action are foreseen . The immediate task of the committee will be linked to the currently approved Professional Standard for Public Administration.

  • Conference"The Economic Dimension of Sport:A Sport for Growth and Engagement"

    On September 21th Vienna(Austria) hosted the EU Council Precidency conference entitled "the Economic Dimension of Sport :A Sport for Growth and Engagement.Lithuania was represented by Kornelija Tiesnesyte,Senior Advisor to Department of Physical Education and Sports by the LRG,avd Vilma Cingiene Professor of the Institute of management.Acording to Sport Economics Research institute(SPEA),sport value added is 2,12%the total value created by the EU and 2,72%in sport -related activities,o f the total EU population (2018)
    Health,volunteering and inovation are key to the development of sport and physical activity.The development of sporting activities justifies the need to re-valuete values andd change structures,to evaluate sports consumpsion, to emphasize healthy diet, to motivate  activity using modern skils ,for prevention and taking care of your health,etc.questions.

  • Project "A new generation of sport mangement eduction in Europe"

    In the first week of Semtember,the second meeting of the partners in Copenhahagen(Denmark)was held in the framework of the Erasmus+Strategic Partnership for Higher Education project New School of Management Education in Europe(New Age of Sport Management Education in Europe).The MRU project was represented by the professor of the Institute of Management Dr.Vilma Cingiene.
    The project seeks to find out what skills and abilieties are needed for sports managers,managers in daily work and what competencies will be needed in the future.The obtained results are important for analyzing the needs of thr sports labor market and for improving the study program of sport management in the country and in Europe.The project involves partners from nine EU countries.Project implementation period 2017-2019.

The faculty of Public Governance-enviroment of  quality and possibilities of self -expression in studies and practice!

The faculty is a modern and presently one  of the largest faculties of Mykolas Romeris University.Bachelors of Public Governance and Masters of Public Governance and Political Science are trained in regular and part time studies.

The faculty researchers study various topics of state,municipal and business strategic management,carry out expert assesments and advise management institutions.They also examine the processes of European integration and their impact on Lithuania,global politics and other issues of modern governance.Faculty members write research papers,read presentations at conferences,actively particapate in civil servants qualification improvement programs,consult institutions on strategic planning and management issues.

Faculty institutes are actively involved in international and Lithuanian research programs,among them the EU's sixt general research,Socrates Erasmus,Leonardo da Vinci program,EU INTERREG 4 and other international programs and projects.Together with Czech,Slovakian and Slovenian partners ,the joint international scientific magazine "Comparative public policy" was launched.

The faculty collaborates closely with Lithuanian social partners and has signed a cooperation agreement with Bavarian University of Public Administration and Law(Germany),the Civil Service Department under the Ministry of the Internal Affairs,the Ministry of Agriculture of the Lithuanian Republic,the Customs Department under Ministry of Finance,the Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce Industry and Handcrafts,the Lithuanian Confederationof Industralists and many more other institutions.

  • Bachelor studies (3 - 5 years undergraduate study programmes);

Doctoral studies are designed to prepare scientists specializing in public administration. The doctoral students are actively involved in scientific and pedagogic work of the department. On graduation, the students get doctoral degrees.
