Lithuanian citizens 20 years ago, in a referendum, resolutely declared their will to be part of a united, peaceful, democratic European family.

Together with all of Lithuania, and all Europeans for whom these values are important, Mykolas Romeris University is celebrating Europe Day today, May 9th.

"The pursuit of freedom, peace, democracy and prosperity, the fulfilled desire to become a full-fledged member of the European Union opened the way to modern European education for the youth of Lithuania. It created new opportunities for our scientists to cooperate with the best European universities, and to accept foreign students. We are happy that we are educating the young generation in a free European Lithuania. Here we can freely exchange ideas, scientific discoveries and innovations. We can adopt the best experience and share our achievements with the Alliance of European Reform Universities and other academic partners around the world as well as the general public to create a safe and harmonious future together.

I wish that all cherish our freedom, and I wish that common European values are fostered and all efforts concentrated so that Ukraine, and other countries that are important to the common future of Europe, become part of the successful European project as soon as possible!".
