Prevention of Corruption

In order to effectively prevent corruption, we encourage you to report any acts of corruption you are aware of at Mykolas Romeris University.

The Corruption Prevention Officer of Mykolas Romeris University will examine your report and make a decision on the investigation of the report.

REMEMBER that the laws of the Republic of Lithuania prohibit defamation or falsely accusing another person of committing a crime. Such acts are punishable under Article 236 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania.

The administration of Mykolas Romeris University points out that the University itself does not have the right and authority to investigate criminal offences of a corrupt nature.  The Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter referred to as SIS) has such rights. The SIS detects and investigates criminal offences of a corrupt nature established in the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania: bribery (Article 225), bribery of an intermediary (Article 226), bribery (Article 227), abuse of office (Article 228), failure to perform official duties (Article 229) and other criminal offences of a corrupt nature listed in Article 2(2) of the Law on the STT, when the commission of such offences is intended or required to obtain or solicit a bribe or bribe, or to conceal or disguise bribery or corruption.
