Oct. 18th, 2022, marking the year of Lithuanian Universities and Lithuania's Research Library Consortium (LMBA) activities'20th anniversary, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) was recognized for the highest annual research growth rate (CAGR) during 2002-2022.

Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Prof. Inga Žalėnienei was presented with the award for MRU at an awards ceremony event Towards Future Research Impact in Lithuania, hosted by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU).

Findings from a report prepared by Elsevier, A Research Landscape Assessment of Lithuania, were presented to participants as a lead-in to a discussion on the strategic aspects of research evaluation in Lithuania.

LMBA members, academics and Lithuania’s research institution representatives were also honoured for their achievements at the event.

The Research Library Consortium LMBA was founded on Dec. 4th, 2001 by 23 founding members. At present there are 46 members. Currently, the Association organizes access for members to over 100 databases in the fields of nature, technology medicine and health, agriculture, social sciences and humanities and arts as well as universal databases.
