    Workshop for PhD Students on Academic Writing - Oct. 9th-10th

    Oct. 9th-10th, 2015, a Doctoral Workshop on Academic Writing and Effective Presentation will be held at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) for PhD candidates enrolled in Baltic universities (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). The Workshop is a joint initiative by Tallinn University's Institute of Political Science, the University of Latvia's Faculty of Economics and MRU's Institute of Public Administration & Research Center. It is part of Baltic Doctoral Support Training (BDST) funded by the EC under the 7th Framework Programme.

    Researchers' Night at MRU & Vilnius Sept. 25-26th

    Sept.25-26th, "Researchers' Night 2015" will be held at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), the new MRU Lab (Didlaukio g. 57A), and various venues in the center of Vilnius. Students are invited to participate. Events begin during the evening of Friday, Sept. 25th, continue past midnight and then into the early morning hours of Saturday, Sept. 26th.

    New Academic Year Began Sept. 1st

    Tuesday, Sept. 1st, the new 2015-2016 academic year began at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) with events on campus, meetings in Faculties and an extraordinary Senate meeting where MRU's annual award recepients were announced. They included MRU Bachelor's Degree student from Vietnam Van Tran Minh who was recognized as "The Most Active International Student" on campus.

    Prof. Mienkowska-Norkienė to Begin Online Lectures This Fall

    Beginning this fall, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) students can take an online Communications course taught by MRU Prof. Renata Mienkowska-Norkienė for free as the course begins a trial phase. "Importance of Efficient Communication in Social Life," is part of the Global Access Asia (GAA) international network's courses offered online with about 60 Asian universities. So far MRU is the only University in Europe to join the network. Prof. Mienkowska-Norkienė will be the first MRU academic to lecture online.

    Aug. 26th, 2015, a photography exhibition, "Real Cuba" opened in the lower level foyer of the Library of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). The photos, portraits of Cubans, men fixing old cars and those chronicling life in Cuba, were taken by MRU Marketing Office manager Simona Sargelytė in 2008.

    Aug. 24th-28th, 2015, Introductory Welcome Week events were held for the new crop of 172 Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) international exchange students from 26 countries and 95 partner universities. The largest number of students come from France (31), Turkey (21), Germany (18), Spain (15) and Slovakia (14).

    August 20-26th, 2015, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Algirdas Monkevičius traveled to Korea and China. He attended a presentation of Korea's Dongseo University (DSU) learning system platform, "Global Access Asia" (GAA). Rector Monkevičius also visited the International Korea-China Research Center in Wuhan, China. MRU Vice-Rector for Education Assoc. Prof. Giedrius Viliūnas accompanied Rector Monkevičius.

    Top Ukrainian & Moldovan Students Awarded Scholarships for Studies at MRU

    Top students from Ukraine and Moldova, who will be pursuing Master's Degree studies at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU), have been awarded state scholarships. Lithuania's Education and Science Minister Audronė Pitrėnienė has issued an Order approving scholarships for students studying in Lithuania's institutions of higher education.
