APPLICATION AND ADMISSION PROCEDURE
1. Submission of the application (delivery online, by post, in person or through authorised persons) within the time-limits specified in the Procedure.
2. Registration of documents.
3. Payment of the application fee specified in the Procedure.
4. Selection of the applicants.
5. Order of the Rector regarding the admission of a foreign citizen to the University.
6. Preparation of documents confirming the admission of a foreign citizen to the University:
- Letter of Admission;
- Certified copy/extract of the order on admission to the University;
- Mediation letter to issue a multiple visa D;
- Mediation letter to issue a permission for temporary residence (TRP) in the Republic of Lithuania;
- letter on the accommodation in the Student House of the University;
- Learning Agreement.
7. Dispatch of document copies to a foreign citizen via e-mail.
8. Payment of the tuition fee specified by the University following the Procedure for Administration of Payments of Tuition Fees and other Fees of the University .
9. Dispatch of original documents attesting to the admission of a foreign citizen to the University and of the information package for arrivals to Lithuania.
DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED:
- Fill out the Application Form
- Add a notarized copy of document proving results of the English language proficiency;
- Graduate students must submit copies of university transcript and diploma (a candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent first university degree with a minimum 3-year study duration)(1);
- Undergraduate students must submit copies of secondary education or high education diploma(1);
- Submit a certificate of your university (school) transcript and diploma evaluation in Lithuania (For the Certificate apply to Lithuanian Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education, A. Goštauto st. 12, LT-01108 Vilnius, Lithuania; for more information please check CQAHE
- Submit three passport size photos;
- Submit a copy of your passport or ID card;
- Submit a notarized letter of guarantee from parents/sponsors and the Certificate/Letter from a bank about their financial abilities (check the suitable sample of the document
); - Submit a bank transfer confirmation of Application Fee of 100 EUR addressed to Mykolas Romeris University (non-refundable) (2);
NOTE: All documents must be translated in to the Lithuanian or English language. Only applicants who have submitted all the required documents will be considerated for acceptance to the university.
Application documents must be sent by post addressed to Mykolas Romeris University, International Admissions (Ateities st. 20, LT-08303 Vilnius, Lithuania; study@mruni.eu ).

1) N.B. Documents witnessing education acquired abroad are subject to legalization, if they have been issued in the state having not acceded to the 1961 Hague Convention concerning abolition of legalization requirements of documents issued in foreign countries, or approved by "Apostille" if they have been issued in the state having acceded to the above mentioned Convention.
Consular legalization of a document is a consular officer's certification that a signature, a seal and duties of the undersigned individual on a document are genuine. Legalization is necessary to allow documents issued in one country to be accepted and used by institutions of other countries.

APPLICATION DEADLINES AND IMPORTANT NOTICES
AUTUMN SEMESTER, 2012
Study year will start on the 1st of October, 2012
Deadlines for the Application with aforementioned required documents for Autumn Semester, 2012 are:
- August 15, 2012 – Applicants from the Countries, Whose Citizens do not require visas to Enter the Republic of Lithuania.
- August 1, 2012 – Applicants from the Countries, Whose Citizens are Required Visas to Enter the Republic of Lithuania and with Lithuanian Embassy in it.
- June 1, 2012– Applicants from the Countries, Whose Citizens are Required Visas to Enter the Republic of Lithuania and with no Lithuanian Embassy in it.
REGISTRATION OF FOREIGN CITIZENS TO STUDIES
Before arriving the student shall inform the Admission and Diploma Division about his arrival and indicate the arrival date, time and place.
Foreign citizens shall arrive for studies not later than on:- 15 October for the autumn semester;
- 15 February for the spring semester.
In case of failure to arrive until the above-referred time limit, all the documents issued by the University to obtain a permission for temporary residence in the Republic of Lithuania and to get a multiple visa D shall lose their effect.
Note. Admitted students shall be responsible and take care of all travel documents on their own: passport, insurance and traveling expenses which are excluded from the tuition fee.
Note. Students from countries with visa requirements should be aware of the time required to obtain a visa. Information can be obtained from Lithuanian Consular Offices
