This Sugar Awareness Week we invite everyone to look more closely at what we eat and drink. Do we know how much sugar we consume each day? How much of it is hidden in the products we use daily? How does an excessive amount of sugar in our diet affect our health?
This year’s theme, ‘Cut Through the Sweet Talk: What You See Is Not What You Eat’, encourages us to notice that advertising often misleads us—cereal bars are not always the healthiest choice.
Good books about the harmful effects of excessive sugar consumption on our health can be found not only in bookstores but also on open-access platforms such as DOAB or OAPEN. Here are a few of them:”
