Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Bachelor's Degree student Giorgi Rostomashvili has big plans after graduating from the Global Business and Modern Marketing programme. He wants to start his own business in Lithuania and is laying the groundwork to do that in the near future.

"I want to open a wine shop featuring Georgian wines," said the 21-year-old Sakartvelo native. He is hoping to convince some Vilnius cafes and bars to stock wine from Georgia.

But before he does so, he is not only pursuing a Bachelor's Degree at MRU, he is also studying online and has a small collection of Google certificates. He has taken a number of courses online through Coursera,  a U.S.-based open online course provider founded by Stanford University computer science professors. Coursera provides courses on a variety of subjects including: "Meta Social Media Marketing," "Learning How to Learn," as well as "Social Media Management." These are some of the courses Rostomashvili has studied in his free time.

He said that typically he spends up to 2 hours a day listening to online lectures and studying later for MRU exams and for professional development certificates from Coursera.

"I feel I am learning so much and preparing for my future career," said the student. He added that he has several different plans for the future. If one doesn't work out, he will try another.

"I know what needs to be done to be successful," he said.

When not studying, he is biking to the center from his Žirmūnai apartment or playing chess. In fact, Rostomashvili was a chess champion of Tbilisi when he was only 15 years old. Sometimes, he plays at MRU-hosted chess tournaments on campus.

"My hobby is playing chess - always," he added.

In addition, the student has taken up skydiving in Vilnius. He said it is an activity that frees the mind because you "stop thinking after you jump. It's meditative," he added.

At the end of May, Rostomashvili plans to skydive in Klaipėda. It will be his third time and he says he is thrilled.

"When you jump, nothing scares you. It is amazing. You are only scared before the jump," said the busy student.
