Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Master’s student in European and International Business Law, Anastasiia Yali, invites MRU students to a webinar where she will share her experience at the 2026 Central and Eastern European International Tax Law Summer School in Vienna (CEE Vienna International Tax Law Summer School 2026).

During the webinar, Anastasiia will talk about the application process, the summer school programme, her study experience in Vienna, and the key knowledge and insights she gained. The webinar will be particularly relevant to students interested in international and European Union tax law, international business, economics, or financial management.

30 Hours of International Tax Law in Vienna

From 13 to 17 July, Anastasiia attended the Summer School, organised by the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna).

The five-day summer school brought together students and young professionals from across Central and Eastern Europe. The programme included around 30 hours of lectures covering European Union and international tax law.

According to Anastasiia, the intensive week was demanding but highly rewarding, both academically and personally.

“When a professor is passionate about the material, you naturally follow along and fall in love with the topic yourself. For me, it was 30 hours of falling in love with international tax law, and roughly the same amount of time falling in love with Vienna. It was also a pleasure to connect with colleagues from across Central and Eastern Europe. Everyone came from a different background, yet we all shared the same curiosity, open-mindedness, and drive to keep learning,” Anastasiia says.

According to her, the summer school can be valuable not only for law students.

“I think this summer school is a great opportunity for those who are interested in taxes, international business, and related fields. Everyone who studies law, business, economics, or financial management would benefit from participating. By the way, I heard they would really love to see more students from the Baltics participating,” she adds.

MRU Study Innovation Promotion Fund Supported Her Participation

Anastasiia’s participation in the summer school was funded by the MRU Study Innovation Promotion Fund, which supports students taking part in academic activities abroad.

“Without this support I would not have been able to attend. I encourage all MRU students to look into the opportunities the Fund offers – it really opens doors. I deeply appreciate its support and look forward to sharing what I learned with my peers,” Anastasiia says.
