Giedre is a Professor in Cyber Security at Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania. She is interested in interdisciplinary research with focus on safety, security, and resilience of complex systems. She has a PhD in Software Engineering from the Osaka University, Japan in 2004. Since then, she worked in academia, industry, as well as applied research institutions in various countries, including Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Singapore, UK, and Lithuania. Overtime, she has acquired cross-disciplinary knowledge and skills in different countries and cultural settings.

09/2025 – 06/2027 – Principal Investigator of the project “Operationalizing Cyber Resilience in Critical Infrastructure: Protecting the Lithuanian Emergency Medical Services”, funded by the Research Council of Lithuania.

Teaching
