The international team of experts from the Study Quality Assurance Center (SQAC) has evaluated the performance of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) in the areas of university management, quality assurance, study and research (art) activities, impact on the region and the development of the country - MRU has been accredited for the maximum period of seven years.

International experts have recognized that the University has developed a modern infrastructure of research and innovation center and has a very important place among the main research universities in the country and the region.

"The positive evaluation by Lithuanian and foreign experts motivates the MRU community not to stop at what has been achieved. It is a good impulse not only to review the achievements of the University, but also to assess the areas that pose new challenges. Following the recommendations of the experts, we will continue to improve the quality of studies and research, as well as the system of support for students and staff, in order to meet the expectations of our students and the entire university community in the best possible way, with the aim of contributing significantly to the positive developments in society, ensuring quality studies and high research results," emphasized the Rector of the MRU, prof. dr. Inga Žalėnienė.

The objective of the external evaluation of universities by the SQAC is to create the conditions for improving the performance of higher education institutions, to promote a culture of quality, and to inform the founders, the academic community and the public about the quality of higher education institutions. The external evaluation of the performance of higher education institutions shall be carried out at least once every 7 years. It shall be initiated by the Minister of Education, Science and Sport by approving a plan for external evaluation of higher education institutions. The external evaluation shall be organized by the Centre for Quality Assessment of Studies.
