STICS – Social Transformations in Contemporary Society
The International Scientific Conference for Young Researchers – Social Transformations in Contemporary Society (STICS) is an annual conference held since 2013 at Mykolas Romeris University. In 2025, the conference reached its 13th edition, continuing its tradition of providing an international platform for early-career scholars to discuss social change in contemporary societies.
STICS brings together Master’s students, doctoral candidates, and early-career researchers to explore the processes driving social transformations or sustaining social continuity across different social, legal, political, and cultural contexts. The conference encourages critical reflection, comparative perspectives, and interdisciplinary dialogue.
Accepted papers are published in peer-reviewed open-access proceedings (ISSN 2345-0126, online), indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and ROAD, ensuring international visibility and accessibility.
