Your idea can drive change – join the ERUA Hackathon!
ERUA

Can you imagine your idea turning into a solution within just a few weeks—one that could improve regional governance, boost sustainability, or make university knowledge more accessible to society? That is exactly what the ERUA Digital Hackathon 2025: Hack4impact is about, taking place this autumn.

This hackathon is more than a competition. It is a creative laboratory where students, researchers, startups, and social entrepreneurs from across Europe will form interdisciplinary teams. Together, they will develop prototypes inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and seek answers to questions such as:

  • How can regional skills become the foundation of the future talent economy?
  • How can digital innovation make public governance more transparent and inclusive?
  • How can universities’ knowledge be transformed into real change for communities?

How does it work?
Ideas can be submitted until 28 September 2025 (application form and full details here). By the end of September, selected teams will start working with mentors, and on 22–23 October they will present their solutions to an international jury. On 30 October, the winners will be announced – the best projects will receive €2,000 prizes and be showcased at ERUA SUMMIT25.

Participation is open to everyone eager to create impact – whether you are a student, a researcher, or an innovator. What matters is not your title, but your idea.

Registration is open until 28 September 2025.
