Sept. 14th-18th, 2015, university delegations from Poland and Slovakia visited Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) under the auspices of the "European Eastern University" project.

Academics from Lublin-based universities: Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, the Catholic University of Lublin and the Lublin University of Technology and Slovakia's Catholic University in Ružomberok visited and met with colleagues from MRU.

During the week-long visit, academics met, discussed implementation of project aims. They toured not only MRU's campus, but also visited Vilnius' historic Old Quarter and the castle town of Trakai.

“The European Eastern University” project is being implemented from September 2014 to August 2016.

Its objectives are to promote Poland's City of Lublin as an academic city, to establish cooperation between the Lublin Municipality and universities, and to help develop the city’s educational programmes for students from Eastern Partnership countries.

Under the auspices of the project, academics from the 5 universities meet, cooperate, discuss issues, and organize study visits including workshops.

The project is co-financed from European Union funds under the Erasmus + Programme.
