June 13th, 2023, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) plans a tribute to long-time Law Prof. Mindaugas Maksimaitis. He turns 90 years old on June 13th.

Prof. Maksimaitis was born June 13th, 1933 in Kėdainiai. His long and illustrious career as a law professor at what was then the forerunner of MRU - the Lithuanian Law University began in 1997.

In 2018, MRU dedicated an auditorium in his name that bears his official portrait. 

He is the author or co-author of numerous textbooks and books including: "Lithuania's Constitutional Law;" "The State and Constitutional Law;" "Mykolas Romeris - Son of Lithuania;" "Lithuania's Constitutional Law History;" and "History of Foreign Law."

Prof. Maksimaitis has amassed a great deal of knowledge about the legal scholar and Law Prof. Michał Pius Römer.
