April 25th-May 2nd, 2019, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Prof. Dr. Inga Žalėnienė visited Chicago to meet with representatives of several universities.

The Rector met Provosts and representatives from the following universities: Chicago Kent College of Law, DePaul University, and Northern Illinois University (NIU) in DeKalb.

Rector Prof. Žalėnienė met with NIU International Affairs Division Associate Vice-President Bradley G. Bond and International Affairs Middle Eastern Initiatives and Recruitment of International Students Manager Awni Alkarzon. They discussed student and academic exchanges, possible summer school creation and possible establishment of joint diploma programmes.

In addition, during her stay Rector Žalėnienė met with the Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Chicago Mantvydas Bekešius and the Executive Director of the Lithuanian World Centre (PLC) Artūras Žilys.
