On May 19 at 4 p.m., the Law School of Mykolas Romeris University invites the university community and the public to a lecture titled “Law and Hope in the Age of Uncertainty and Artificial Intelligence.” The lecture will take place at MRU Central Building, Room I-414. The speaker is Professor Dr. Lorenzo Zucca from King’s College London – a leading expert in law and philosophy.
Professor Lorenzo Zucca has a rich international academic background, having studied and taught in Milan, Paris, Oxford, Florence, and New York. His research focuses on human rights, legal philosophy, and constitutional law, with a particular interest in the relationship between law and religion.
Currently, Professor L. Zucca is leading a research project titled “The Uncertainty of Will,” which explores Shakespeare’s vision of the interplay between power and knowledge, and his philosophical insights into human cognition. His forthcoming book “The Poet of Uncertainty: Shakespeare on Law, Knowledge, and Power” is set to be published later this year.
In a message ahead of his visit, Professor L. Zucca shared:
"I'm deeply honored and delighted to accept an invitation from Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania to deliver a prestigious series of lectures from May 12 to May 22, 2025.
