Prof. Žukauskienė & Team Win Grant to Implement Project on Japanese Teen Identity Development

Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Psychology Institute Prof. Rita Žukauskienė and her team of doctoral students have won a Lithuanian Research Council Grant for Lithuanian-Japanese academic projects. It paves the way for funding of the project, "Lithuania's and Japan's Youth & Teenage Identity Development."

Prof. Žukauskienė and doctoral students, Goda Kaniušonytė and Oksana Malinauskienė, were the receipients of the Research Council grant.

The project, to be implemented during 2015-2017, will be conducted with partners, Japan's Kyoto University and Hiroshima University.

The aim of the project is to unveil identity development mechanisms among youths as they progress towards adulthood in Lithuania and Japan and identify similiarities and differences in both cultures.
