June 29th, 2022, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) doctoral law student Tadas Valančius successfully defended his PhD dissertation, "Instance System of Control of Judgements by Ordinary Courts in Lithuania in 1918-2003."

His research supervisor was Mykolas Romeris University Dr.  Gintaras Šapoka

The dissertation sought to systemically analyze the court decisions taken by general courts in the Republic of Lithuania during 1918-2003 and their development analyzing separate elements of decisions - constitutional jurisprudence, the principle of court independence, the system of instance court and other areas.
