1 September is an important day for Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). This year will be extra special: celebrations to mark the start of the new academic year will take place simultaneously in Vilnius, Kaunas and Marijampolė! And that's not all – this year, MRU is also celebrating its 35th anniversary, so it will be a double celebration full of festivity, togetherness and warmth.
In Vilnius, the academic community will be welcomed by MRU Rector Prof. Dr. Inga Žalėnienė, MRUSA President Gabija Staponaitė and other distinguished guests. Later, the celebration will continue in a more informal setting, where participants are invited to enjoy convivial conversation and refreshments, accompanied by live music to create a festive atmosphere.
1 September is also a special day for the Sūduva Academy of MRU. After graduating its first class this summer, the academy is now beginning a new academic year as an integral part of the MRU family – a new chapter in the university's history, full of ambition and new plans.
The celebrations will continue on 2 and 3 September with orientation days. First-year students will explore the world of MRU: they will get to know their faculties and learn more about study programmes and opportunities. They will also hear inspiring stories from alumni, take part in events on emotional well-being, gain insights into international experiences and make their first contacts – contacts that can turn into lasting relationships.
At MRU, 1 September is not just the start of a new semester – it is an inspiring start that opens the door to new opportunities.
