On April 29, a high-level international scientific conference titled “The Three Seas Initiative: The Economic Dimension of Intra-EU Cooperation” will take place in Warsaw, with the participation of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). The event will focus on analyzing the economic dimension of the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) and promoting cross-border infrastructure and regional connectivity. The conference is part of the prestigious Three Seas Business Forum, held alongside the Presidential Summit of the Initiative.

The event is organized by the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Three Seas Business Council. Among the academic partners of the conference is MRU, contributing to the strengthening of interdisciplinary cooperation across the Three Seas region.

The Three Seas Initiative brings together 13 Central and Eastern European countries located between the Adriatic, Baltic, and Black Seas. Its primary goal is to enhance infrastructure, energy, and digital connectivity in the region, reduce economic and developmental disparities within the European Union, and strengthen resilience to geopolitical challenges.

Professor Dr. Jolanta Urbanovič will represent MRU's academic community during the conference’s plenary session, which will focus on the progress made during the first decade of the initiative.

The 3SI initiative highlights not only economic cooperation but also the essential role of research and educational institutions in developing knowledge-based solutions that foster sustainable and inclusive regional growth.

The event will bring together representatives from politics, academia, and business from across the Three Seas region. The conference program will include three main sessions focused on economic challenges, infrastructure development, and cooperation models.
