MRU's long-time partner Dongseo University (DSU) together with the Embassy of Lithuania organized a concert to commemorate the Day of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania. This concert took place on the DSU student campus, where famous Lithuanian pianist Aleksandra Žvirblytė and saxophonist Petras Vyšniauskas presented their musical project "Provocations".

In 2014 Mykolas Romeris University, together with South Korea's Dongseo University, founded the King Sejong Institute in Vilnius, which became the first not only in Lithuania, but also in the Baltic region. The King Sejong Institute in Vilnius organizes free Korean language courses, implements various cultural projects, and organizes cultural events. In 2021, MRU Vilnius King Sejong Institute was selected as one of the three best institutes in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and won an Excellence Award for impeccable activity.

For a significant contribution to university cooperation, successful implementation of double degree studies at MRU and DSU, activities of the King Sejong Institute in Vilnius, close exchange of students and teachers MRU rector prof. Dr. Inga Žalėnienė in 2022 awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of DSU.
