The Erasmus+ project "Digitization of the Economy as an Element of Sustainable Development in Ukraine and Tajikistan" (DigEco), implemented by MRU, has reached the finishing line: in October, the final meetings of the project partners are taking place, with the participation of representatives of universities from Lithuania, Slovenia, Germany, Ukraine and Tajikistan: rectors, vice-rectors, heads of international departments and project coordinators.

During the final meetings, the results of the project were discussed and summarized: 13 new modern digitalized courses have been created, training sessions for undergraduates and postgraduates have been held for more than 500 students, and digital laboratories have been set up in universities in Ukraine and Tajikistan, equipped with the latest facilities.

The project resulted a monograph and a textbook, and the researchers who were involved in the project actively participated in conferences and contributed papers. This provided excellent opportunities to establish useful disciplinary and scientific links. The project has created particular value in enabling inclusive education and participation of students with disabilities.

Participation in the DigEco project provided an opportunity to improve the material and technical base of universities in Ukraine and Tajikistan, and to adopt best practices from European universities. New objectives are now being set and the results of the project are being shared among stakeholders and the scientific community.

The project takes place in a difficult political context: during the war, two Ukrainian universities (the Technical University of Priazov and the Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State University of Agro-Technology) were caught up in the occupied territories and had to relocate to Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia.
