MRU Welcomed Erasmus International Exchange Wk Participants May 23-27th

May 23rd-27th, 2016, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) welcomed a group of more than 20 international staff members from European Union (EU) universities. They attended the 6th International Staff Exchange Week @MRU 2016, according to the Erasmus+ programme.

The goal of this event is to widen and strengthen cooperation, good experiences and practices with MRU partner institutions.

University staff members from Erasmus+ Programme countries and partner universities from: Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Moldova, Portugal, Spain and the U.K. are participating.

This year Moldova's Free International University of Moldova International Relations Head, coming by way of the Erasmus+ Mobility Between Programme Countries and Country Partner Activities, will participate.

The week-long programme is prepared for staff members who will become more closely acquainted with MRU, exchange experiences with academic exchange, studies quality, research and innovation support representatives and other units as well as Faculty members.

Librarians, who are participating in the Staff Exchange Week programme, participated in a specialized training session, "Library User Behaviour."

MRU students from the Erasmus Student Network (ESN MRU Vilnius) discussed their experiences with incoming staff members and organization of student activities.

The cultural programme will include an excursion to the Anykščiai Regional Park to visit the unique wooden treetop walking path, the only one in Lithuania.

Participants also took part in an interactive Lithuanian language lesson taught by MRU Library Librarian Milda Pakulytė and also in the MRU Olympic Day event on May 26th.

The MRU Erasmus International Staff Exchange Week is organized by the MRU International Office.
