June 17th, 2015, a group of Mykolas Romeris University librarians, led by MRU Library Director Jurgita Levickienė, visited the National Library of Latvia in Riga on a day trip.

The Librarians visited the modern National Library of Latvia located in Riga. Later they had the opportunity to see a bit of Riga's Old Quarter and visit the city before returning to Vilnius in the evening.

MRU Librarian Nijolė Sorakienė, one of the MRU Librarians that visited the Library, was impressed by the book collections and the building itself, which is "impressive," she said.

"There is a great view of Riga's Old Quarter from the Library, so I wouldn't be able to read there. I would only want to sit and look out the window at the view," she said.

There were more than a dozen MRU Librarians that visited Riga on this excursion.
