May 19th, 2023, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Private Law Institute Prof. Vigintas Višinskis and Lecturer Dr. Remigijus Jokubauskas participated in a Conference on European Civil Procedure with an Emphasis on Digitalization of Court Proceedings held in Portorož, Slovenia.

The Law School academics delivered a report on digitization of the judicial process.

The Conference was organized implementing the European Union (EU) DIGI-GUARD 24-month project for resolving matters dealing with cross-border civil cases: delivery of procedural documents, in electronic forms, and collection, legality and use of electronic evidence in civil proceedings.

The coordinator of the DIGI-GUARD project is Slovenia's Maribor University Law Faculty. The person responsible for project implementation is Prof. Dr. Vesna Rijavec.
