MRU Law Faculty to Provide Qualification Training, Workshops for Attorneys

Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is the first institution, which the Lithuanian Bar Association accredited which can undertake qualification training workshops for lawyers and lawyers' aides.

MRU's Law Faculty has prepared an extensive series of legal workshops for those working in the legal sphere.

The training workshop material, which includes more than 70 themes, will be implemented by MRU lecturers. They have a wide array of experience in the Courts, the Bar and other legal institutions in Lithuania.

The training workshops are aimed at legal problems in administration, criminal, criminal process, civil, civil process, labour, competition, European Union (EU), construction, health, international and other law areas.

For years, the MRU Law Faculty has been successfully implementing workshops and training for judges, judges' aides, lawyers, notaries, prosecutors and other representatives of the Law profession. This is the first time that there is a wider workshop programme related to various legal areas and questions.

According to Lithuanian Bar Association Chairman Prof. Dr. Ignas Vėgėlė, the MRU workshops will be in addition to those seminars organized by Lithuania's Bar Association. There will be a wider selection of themes and specialists to choose from.

The profession of a lawyer commits one to continually improve one's qualifications. Therefore, Lithuania's Bar Association not only offers seminars, but also joins hands with selected partners of workshop training, so that our community members would have the possibility to choose the best workshops, seminars, said Bar Association Chairman Vėgėlė.

Law Faculty Dean Prof. Lyra Jakulevičienė said that having the best legal specialists in the University, it is necessary to share this experience with others.
