MRU launches research activities in the ERUA network on European Memory
Law School
Seminar

On the last day of Autumn, the students of Law School bachelor program in English "Law and Global Security" of Mykolas Romeris University, together with the lecturer Asta Benetytė, associate professor Dr. Dovilė Sagatienė and Dr. Monika Rogers, Head of the MRU Memory and Justice Research Centre, participated in a seminar with ERUA network partners from the University of Paris 8 in France.

The seminar took place at The Memorial Complex of Tuskulėnai Peace Park (LGGRTC). The Lithuanian and French students took part in the project "European Dialogues" and shared their ideas about what Europe means to them, where it begins and where it ends. These activities were titled "travelling seminars" by French group leader Dr. Christine Cadot, a lecturer at the University of Paris 8, because they aim to get to know the various sites of European memory and history.

The two groups of students also visited the exhibition "European Gulag", which is supported by

Platform of European Memory and Conscience, and the museum "Homo Sovieticus" at The Memorial Complex of Tuskulėnai Peace Park.

This was the first scientific activity with the partners of the ERUA network, of which MRU became a member on 1 November.
