May 3rd-7th, 2021, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) hosted PhD students and young researchers in social sciences and humanities from more than 10 countries in an online research internship.

There were 16 students participating in the online research internship. They come from Croatia, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lithuania, Macedonia, Romania and Ukraine.

May 3rd, the first day of the internship, MRU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Regina Valutytė delivered a welcome address and introduced the programme.

MRU Sr. Librarian Albertas Olechnovičius discussed digital tools for literature search and reference management. MRU Humanities Institute Prof. Dr. Lora Tamošiūnienė discussed academic writing in English.

During the research week, doctoral students found out more about reference management, practiced academic writing in English, got useful tips on how to successfully publish research results, and developed project proposals.

There was an opportunity for individual consultations on students' dissertation topics with the internship supervisor and free online access to MRU Library databases.

Upon successful completion of the internship, participants were awarded an internship certificate.

The working language of the internship was English.
