On December 12, Mykolas Romeris University hosted ERUA Day 2025, marking the birthday of the European Reform Universities Alliance (ERUA). For the second year in a row, the event brought together students, lecturers, researchers, and partners to celebrate achievements and strengthen community ties.

The day began with a livestream where rectors addressed the audience and presented the Alliance’s key accomplishments. Later, members of the MRU community shared inspiring stories about studies, teaching, and research, showing how collaboration and new initiatives shape ERUA’s presence at the university.

A highlight of the celebration was the awards ceremony, which recognized students, lecturers, researchers, and partners for their meaningful contributions. The awards emphasized genuine efforts in mobility programmes, innovative teaching formats, research clusters, and community building, underscoring the value of active participation rather than formal roles.

After the official programme, the atmosphere shifted to a more informal setting. Music filled Rotonda Hall as the community gathered around the ERUA birthday cake, enjoying conversations and a relaxed moment together. In the afternoon, students led activities that encouraged intercultural exchange and new connections, while the day concluded with an online concert that added a festive note to the celebration.

ERUA Day at MRU once again demonstrated that the Alliance is not only an academic network but also a living, open, and collaborative community where people and shared experiences are at the heart of its success.
