On 16–20 June, a delegation of students from the Saxony Police Academy (Germany) visited the Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Public Security Academy. The visit took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ exchange programme and aimed to provide insight into the Lithuanian law enforcement training system, police work organisation, and operational specifics.
During the visit, the students deepened their knowledge of the structure of the Lithuanian police, its operating principles, and the daily challenges faced by officers. The delegation visited the Vilnius County Police Headquarters, Kaunas County Police Headquarters, and the Vilnius Unit of the Public Security Service. These meetings offered an opportunity to gain a more comprehensive understanding of police work organisation and practical activities in Lithuania.
The delegation was led by Vice-Dean for Studies Danguolė Seniutienė, who coordinated the visit and provided additional information about Lithuania’s law enforcement system.
International exchanges under the Erasmus+ programme promote knowledge sharing, strengthen institutional cooperation, enhance understanding of common security issues, and improve awareness of police work in different countries.
