
Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is taking another significant step toward internationalization – the Annual Meeting of World University Leaders, organized by the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), will be held in Vilnius from April 29 to May 1, 2026. This is an important sign of trust from the global academic community, reinforcing MRU’s position as an ambitious, open, and innovative university on the international stage.
Long-standing Membership and Active Participation
MRU has been an active IAUP member for many years, consistently contributing to global higher education discussions, sharing experiences, and fostering partnerships with universities worldwide. This year, the organization, which unites top-level university leaders, celebrated its 60th anniversary at its Semi-Annual Meeting in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from October 13–15, where participants discussed the most pressing trends shaping the future of higher education amid rapidly evolving technological and societal changes.
MRU – a Participant in the Global Dialogue
At the Seoul forum, MRU Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Natalija Kaminskienė represented the University and shared insights with the global academic community. The conference focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on education, sustainability challenges, and strengthening international collaboration.

During the conference, it was decided that the next IAUP Annual Meeting will be hosted by Mykolas Romeris University.
