May 25th, 2016, (Wednesday), MRU partner university and Erasmus+ International Staff Exchange Week participants from various European Union (EU) universities presented culinary specialties from their countries.

University staff members from Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, the U.K., Spain and other countries were on hand to serve up a memorable lunch.

Participants from Belarus also had their stand featuring Minsk postcards, memorabilia and a huge loaf of baked bread.

Most popular was the stand from Spain featuring Spanish jamon cured ham, green olives and pieces of chorizo. There was a constant line of tasters lining up to try the culinary delights from Spain.

German sausage and Asbach Uralt Liquor chocolates also proved popular.

MRU International Relations Head Audra Dargytė-Burokienė introduced the Lithuanian stand discussing Lithuanian food traditions. The stand included a huge Lithuanian tree cake as well as cheese.

The event is one of the many that are part of the Erasmus International Staff Exchange Week events held at MRU's campus from May 23rd.

Participants at the Exchange Week come from about 10 European Union countries and Belarus and are taking part in workshops, discussions, lectures held at MRU and the MRU LAB facility.

It is a rare opportunity for MRU staff to meet and greet other staff members from EU countries and to learn and exchange good practices.

The International Staff Exchange Week is organized by MRU's International Office.
