Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) invites its doctoral candidates to apply for the ERUA Summer School "Infrastructures of Democracy: Internet Politics Through a Critical Lens", which will take place 14–16 September 2026 at SWPS University in Warsaw, Poland.
Organised within the framework of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA), the Summer School will bring together PhD students and researchers to critically examine how the Internet has evolved from a decentralised communication space into a complex infrastructure shaping democracy, governance, and political participation.
The programme will explore topics including platform society, digital governance, artificial intelligence, disinformation, digital rights, media ecology, and interdisciplinary approaches to Internet politics and critical Internet studies. Participants will attend lectures by leading scholars, engage in discussions, present their research, and expand their international academic networks.
