On June 2 at 4:00 PM, another meeting of the reading and public discussion group “Artificial Intelligence, Labour, and Digital Capitalism” will take place in MRU LAB 101 auditorium (Didlaukio St. 55, Vilnius).

This time, the discussion will be organized around Kate Crawford’s book Atlas of AI: Power, Politics, and the Planetary Costs of Artificial Intelligence (Yale University Press, 2021). During the meeting, participants will examine the power relations within the artificial intelligence industry, as well as the political and economic dimensions of AI and the impact of AI technologies on society, labour, and the environment.

The reading and discussion group is organized by the Aristotle Centre for Studies and Critical Theory together with DEMOS, the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, and Kaunas University of Technology. The discussions are moderated by Andrius Bielskis.

The event will take place both in person and online via Zoom (access code: Critique).
