MRU academic staff are invited to submit proposals for international innovative teaching initiatives that bring together students and lecturers from different countries and create a new generation of learning experiences across Europe.
The European Reform University Alliance (ERUA) announces a call for the academic community of Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) to submit proposals for innovative teaching initiatives. The aim of these initiatives is to foster international academic collaboration, reflect the core values of ERUA, and create high-quality, student-engaging learning experiences across Europe, while contributing to a more open, just, and inclusive society.
International Collaboration
MRU academic staff are encouraged to collaborate with colleagues from partner universities and develop innovative academic initiatives that bring together students and lecturers from diverse cultural and social contexts, while addressing relevant global challenges.
Types of Initiatives
Proposals may include various study formats, such as travelling seminars, semester-long courses, summer and winter schools, or intensive courses. Each initiative must provide a minimum of 3 ECTS credits, ensuring academic recognition and pedagogical value. Initiatives are encouraged to integrate project-based learning, collaborative learning, problem-solving approaches, gamification, and other innovative teaching elements.
Proposal Preparation and Submission
Proposals should be prepared in accordance with the following documents:
the Academic Innovation Guide, the Guidelines for Developing 3 ECTS Innovative ERUA Courses, and the ERUA Course Template.
More information about the call is available on the ERUA website. Applicants are also invited to review examples of previously funded initiatives.
Prepared proposals by MRU academic staff should be submitted by 15 May 2026 via email: adb@mruni.eu.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss your idea, please contact Audra Dargytė-Burokienė (adb@mruni.eu) or Jolanta Bieliauskaitė (jolab@mruni.eu).
