Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) invites ambitious early-career researchers from Lithuania and abroad to apply for the position of Principal Investigator under the Research Council of Lithuania – funded programme “My First Research Team” (MFRT).
The programme offers the opportunity to implement a 36-month independent research project, establish and lead your first research team, strengthen your academic profile in the international research arena, and work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary university environment. Research themes include fake news dissemination, reproductive health regulation, technological advancement and gender balance in logistics, renewable energy, AI tools in education, and advanced digital health technologies.
The call is open to early-career researchers who obtained a doctoral degree within the last seven years, seek an independent academic career, and are motivated to gain their first experience in research leadership. Applicants should be prepared to work at MRU for the entire project duration, with most of their working time spent in Lithuania.
