LT Responsible Business Assn Team of Experts Has 4 MRU Reps

Lithuania's Responsible Business Association (LAVA), uniting Lithuania's businesses and organisations seeking to implement principles of responsible operation, has convened Lithuania's Council of Sustainability Experts.

Four Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) academics are part of the LAVA expert team including MRU Institute of Educational Sciences and Social Work Prof. Irena Žemaitaitytė, MRU and Groningen University Psychology PhD student and MRU Environmental Psychology Research Centre researcher Audra Balundė, Economics PhD student Dalia Karlaitė, and MRU Law School Institute of Private Law PhD student Tomas Lavišius.

The LAVA expert team will be responsible for expert know-how implementation in the context of Sustainable Development Goals (DVT17).

The team includes many academics from Lithuania's universities as well as lecturers and other experts in their fields. Each of the experts, according to their professional experience, will be responsible for one of the sustainable development goals.

Prof. Irena Žemaitaitytė will represent sustainable development goal No. 4 (ensuring comprehensive and equal quality education and promoting lifelong learning);
Academic researcher Audra Balundė – will represent sustainable development goal No. 13 (taking swift action with climate change and its consequences);
PhD student Dalia Karlaitė will represent sustainable development goal No. 1 (eliminating all forms of poverty);
PhD Law student Tomas Lavišius will represent sustainable development goal No. 10 (reducing inequality in countries and among countries).
