International Ambassadors
You love studying at MRU? You want others to know about our university? You want to improve your communication, organizational, time management or leadership skills?
If you answered YES to at least one of these questions, think no more and join the MRU International Ambassador Network!
MRU provides current students with an opportunity to represent the university through various events and activities. This volunteer opportunity involves promoting the university from a current student’s perspective.
Main requirements:
- Current student of MRU
- No academic or financial debts to the university
Expected qualities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Approachable and friendly
- Reliable, punctual and flexible
- Confident and enthusiastic
- With a willingness to learn
- Able to present oneself in a well manner
- Possession of at least one active social media account
Your activities as MRU International Ambassador might include:
- Providing prospective MRU students and their parents with an insight into the university life and study opportunities based on your own experience
- Sharing information about MRU study programmes, admission procedure, campus facilities
- Engaging in activities on MRU social media accounts
- Participating in webinars and study fairs
- Giving campus tours
- Translating to/from your native language
- Joining promotional MRU photo shoots or videos
- Writing student testimonials
- Participating in mentoring programmes
- Event support, such as Introductory Week, Open Days, School Visits
- Other similar tasks. Your suggestions and initiative are very much welcome too!
You will be able to:
- Develop your communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management and leadership skills
- Develop public speaking skills
- Gain practical experience while creating content and planning communication
- Work in a team with your peers and other International Ambassadors
- Get a closer look to MRU administrative staff work
- Network and meet new people
- Improve your employability and add the position to your resume, LinkedIn or other social media account
You will be provided with:
- Possibility to apply for International Ambassador Scholarship
- MRU shirt (to be worn when conducting ambassador tasks)
- Certificate of recognition
International Ambassadors play a valuable role in representing MRU to the wider community therefore we ask that you:
- Share only the newest information about the university
- Actively communicate with the Ambassadors Coordinator
- Share your suggestions and ideas
- Present yourself in a positive and professional manner in both conduct and appearance
