In 2022 September 8-10 the XVIII international congress "Criminology and Forensic expertise: science, studies, practice" will be held at the Mykolas Romeris University, organized by the Lithuanian Society of Criminologists, the Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) and the Lithuanian Forensic Expertise Center.
The organizers of this year's congress again faced a very serious challenge - the war that Russia started against Ukraine. We even considered refusing to hold the congress, but after receiving support not only in Lithuania, but also from many scientific centers abroad, we decided to hold it in Vilnius. More than 80 participants from ten countries registered for the congress. The congress program includes over 30 presentations on current topics of criminology and forensic expertise. Among the speakers are well-known foreign and Lithuanian scientists: Prof. V. Shepitko (Ukraine), Prof. T. Tomaszewski (Poland), Prof. J. Metenko (Slovakia), Prof. P. Kipouras (Italy/Greece), Prof. M. Fryštak (Czech Republic), Prof. V. E. Kurapka (Lithuania) and many others.
