Lisbon Univ Assoc. Prof. Mendes Lecture: “Investigating Racism and Populism: A Qualitative Approach”

May 18th, at 10.45 in II-233 aud., MRU will host a public lecture with sociologist, University of Lisbon Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manuela Maria Mendes titled, "Investigating Racism and Populism: a Qualitative Approach." It is organised by MRU’s Institute of Communication.

Dr. Mendes' research areas include: Roma, immigration, diversity and urban space, poverty and social exclusion.  She is a sociologist, doctor, and Associate Professor at the Institute of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lisbon. She also specializes in qualitative and participative methods.

In addition, Dr. Mendes will present a lecture to Master's Degree students on May 17th, 6:00 pm and on May 18th  6:00 pm in auditorium III-413 M.M. Mendes will lecture and give seminars on the topic "Qualitative Research: Meanings and Potentialities, Examples, Visual Methods". We invite you to participate.
