Friday, Oct. 7th, 2022, 17:00-18:30 hrs., in MRU's I-414 aud., the King Sejong Institute (KSI) Vilnius will be commemorating Korean Alphabet Day on campus.

At 18:30 hrs. in I-414 aud. the Korean movie, "Mai-Mo-E" will be screened. The movie is about the people who tried to preserve the Korean language and alphabet under Japanese occupation, when it was banned to use the Korean language officially.

South Korea Hangul Day, also known as Korean Alphabet Day, is observed annually on October 9th. It's a national holiday to commemorate the invention and proclamation of the Korean alphabet, known as Hangul (or Hangeul).
