Project title: „Coordinating and harmonising Generic and Specialist Support services for victims of gender-based violence (2Gether4Victims)”
Project duration: from 2023-01-01 to 2026-12-31
Project manager: Ramunė Jakštienė

Summary: 2gether4victims project aims to provide an evidence-based analysis of how different types of victim support services, as set out in the Victims’ Rights Directive (Articles 8 and 9) can collaborate in responding to the needs of victims of gender-based violence, in particular domestic violence.

The project brings together a unique partnership, composed of generalist and specialist service providers and supported by a large number of state institutions, EU NGOs and other national service providers. Through joint action, 2gether4victims intends to develop specific tools which will enable victim support organisations in the provision of gendered support to victims of GBV/DV through organisational self-assessment, while also improving the individual needs assessment for victims of GBV/DV.

These two important tools will be developed based on research, that will be led by experienced academic researchers in the area of GBV/DV and will be piloted by partnership prior to their implementation by non-partner organisations. An extensive period of capacity building – including mutual learning through study visits, summer school and online training, will enable partner and nonpartner organisations to successfully implement OSA, bring themselves to compliance with the gendered provision of services and start implementing INA tools that will be developed by the project. An extensive dissemination effort – run by VSE, but supported by many EU networks, will ensure that project results are broadly disseminated and support the sustainability of 2gether4victims action.
