Project Objective: to explore the potential of applying neurodidactics principles to the creation of an inclusive school culture model, and to investigate how administrators and teachers can create an environment that promotes the application of neurodidactic knowledge, the integration of the philosophy of inclusive education, and the transformation of the entire school culture.
Project Summary: In the field of education, systemic solutions are being sought to create an open, inclusive school culture based on collaboration and emotional safety. Around the world, increasing attention is being paid to neurodidactics—an interdisciplinary approach that integrates neuroscientific principles and combines knowledge from education, psychology, andragogy, and management, which helps to better understand how the brain learns and the role played by emotions, social connections, and motivation; how to improve learning outcomes and emotional well-being; and how to organize learning processes. This project can help identify ways to understand organizational learning processes related to the implementation of new practices. It can enrich knowledge about collaborative learning by optimizing teacher collaboration processes and providing a deeper understanding of how individuals (teachers and leaders) respond to change at the neurological level and how this affects their ability to adapt.
The project is funded from the state budget and is being carried out under the Lithuanian Science Council’s postdoctoral fellowship program.
