Summary: The project focuses on providing youth with access to a new level of international and cross-cultural inclusive education through implementing virtual exchanges on the art of negotiation and mediation in the EU countries, Georgia and Ukraine. This is achieved through training university representatives and youth workers on critical thinking, negotiation and mediation skills development in order to develop and implement an online course on the matters targeting youth. The ultimate outcome of this is to strengthen the cross-cultural communication network and through this reduce the levels of conflicts in the countries of the partnering institutions.

Result to be achieved: 

  • 2 blocks of trainings for university’s staff and youth workers are developed and implemented.
  • development of an online course on negotiation and mediation.
  • Conducting of 3 rounds of virtual exchanges.
  • Training of 2000 representatives of youth.
  • Forming of communication network for students and youth.
  • Holding of online conference.

This ERASMUS+ project focuses on students and youth by providing them a chance to not only gain conflict management and mediation skills in a cross-cultural online environment, but to also take part in a number of virtual exchanges and through this to establish communication network between the EU, Georgia and Ukraine. The long-term objective thereof is to enhance democracy, cultural diversity and dispute resolution mechanisms and through this – to reduce the level of conflicts in the countries of the respective partners. To do so, the Project will conduct a number of virtual trainings, workshops, mediation simulations and activities under a program that will be developed by the partners. Project beneficiaries are universities’ students, non-studying youth, university staff, youth workers, which in total amount to 2000 persons in general. Through this the trainees shall develop specific mediation, negotiation and communication skills that are needed not merely for their academic studies, but also for the challenges ahead of them and ultimately, for improving their societies through sharing mediation values.
