In the spring of 2026, the Student Representation of Mykolas Romeris University (MRUSA) entered a new chapter with the election of Agota Milašauskaitė, a third-year Psychology student, as its President. She takes on the role with a clear vision, a strong commitment to strengthening the student community, and a determination to ensure that every MRU student’s voice is heard.

Agota is excited and motivated to begin her term as President. She sees the position as an opportunity to turn ideas into action and contribute to the growth of the Student Representation, the University, and the wider student community. After an intense election campaign, her first reaction upon learning the results was one of genuine joy and relief.

Her decision to run for President was driven not only by a personal desire to contribute to positive change but also by the support of her team.

“The greatest motivation for me was the trust my team placed in me and in my abilities,” says Agota.

Her previous involvement in various committees provided valuable experience, particularly in developing communication skills and self-confidence. She believes these qualities are essential both during the election process and when representing students.

One of her main priorities is to strengthen connections between different faculties and departments across the University while ensuring that students’ voices are heard. To achieve this, MRUSA plans to improve existing communication channels and explore new ways of engaging with students.

Speaking about her vision, Agota emphasises the importance of building an organisation that is both effective and positively regarded by the student community.

“The atmosphere is productive, yet friendly and welcoming. People are motivated to work together and contribute to a better student experience,” she says when describing her vision of an ideal student representation.

Despite new initiatives and planned changes, MRUSA’s core mission remains unchanged: to represent students responsibly and contribute to creating a better study experience for everyone.
