On the last week of May, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) welcomed a delegation from Kenya's Kenyatta University as part of the Erasmus+ KA171 academic mobility programme. The delegation was led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration and Finance) Prof. Dr. Paul Okemo and included Prof. Dr. Lucy Kathuri and Prof. Dr. Elishiba Kimani.
A key highlight of the visit was the meeting with MRU Rector Prof. Dr. Inga Žalėnienė, during which representatives of both universities discussed the progress of their ongoing cooperation and explored new opportunities for strategic partnership development. The discussions focused on strengthening academic collaboration, expanding mobility opportunities for students and staff, and fostering joint research initiatives.
The delegation also met with MRU Vice-Rector for Studies Prof. Dr. Natalija Kaminskienė, deans, vice-deans, and researchers from several faculties. Additional meetings were held with the Research and Innovation Centre and representatives of the scientific journal Intellectual Economy, led by Editor-in-Chief Prof. Dr. Ilona Bartuševičienė.
The visit reaffirmed the strong partnership between Mykolas Romeris University and Kenyatta University and highlighted the shared commitment of both institutions to internationalisation, academic excellence, and research cooperation.
MRU looks forward to further developing this valuable partnership and implementing new collaborative initiatives in the years ahead.
