In 2025, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) was recognized in the international sustainability ranking “UI GreenMetric World University Rankings“. MRU ranked 762nd globally among 1,745 universities from 105 countries, and 2nd nationally in Lithuania.

“The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings“ is one of the most comprehensive global university sustainability rankings, evaluating institutions’ efforts to integrate sustainability principles into infrastructure, energy and climate change management, waste and water management, transportation solutions, as well as teaching and research activities. In 2025, MRU scored 6,012.5 points out of 10,000, confirming the university’s purposeful activities in environmental protection and sustainable development.

This recognition reflects the MRU community’s consistent efforts to create a sustainable academic environment and contribute to the achievement of the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
