On November 5, Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) hosted the Game Design Startup Hackathon – a creative event that brought together game development, animation, and digital media students from Lithuania and the Republic of Korea.

The hackathon brought together students from MRU’s Game Development and Digital Animation and Digital Media Design study programmes, as well as professors and students from Dongseo University (DSU). The event provided an opportunity for international teams to collaborate and create game and animation prototypes, projects, and concept ideas – from initial brainstorming to final presentations.

The full-day creative marathon concluded with team presentations and an awards ceremony. The hackathon offered students a valuable chance to apply the knowledge gained in their studies, strengthen teamwork skills, and learn from international partners.

The social partner of the hackathon was the Lithuanian Game Developers Association, which unites game development professionals in Lithuania and actively contributes to nurturing young creators and promoting innovation.

On November 7–9, a joint MRU and DSU team is also participating in the GameOn games exhibition held at the Litexpo Exhibition and Congress Centre in Vilnius.
