The Mykolas Romeris University Senate has declared the 2025–2026 academic year the Year of Connections. This is an invitation for each of us to strengthen our sense of community, cooperation, and openness. This year, let us take a fresh look at what unites us — ideas, experiences, initiatives, and people.

The MRU strategy emphasizes that our university is a place where science and practice meet, where innovation and responsibility come together, and where, by working hand in hand, we create meaningful change. The Year of Connections will remind us that our greatest strength lies in our ability to act together. When we share knowledge and engage one another in dialogue, trust and creativity emerge. This enables us to build a university that not only connects people but also inspires them to act together for a common future.

The Senate invites all members of the MRU community — students, lecturers, researchers, alumni, and partners — to contribute to the Year of Connections initiatives, to be open to new ideas and experiences, and to collaborate. Together, let’s strengthen the bonds that shape our university’s success and make change possible.
